I have worked all day today. I finished the days collections about three o’clock and went to Mrs. Lloyd Hudgins. She was packing up some things prepatory to moving. She has not stayed there very much since her husband died in February. I purchased a fruit bowl in the button and daisy pattern. This is rather old and makes a very pretty addition to my collection of old glass. She has another one like it which I should like to have to complete the set of two.

Finished up weeks collections. Purchased a camellia shrub and set it out this morning. Tonight I went to Prayer Meeting. There were only a few present, but after the meeting we had a Workers Council Meeting. We decided to try to get as many people as would give a hymnal in honor or memory of their mother on Mother’s Day. We also decided to get out letters to absentee Sunday School members.

Worked all the morning. Came by Sis and carried Manie (Mama’s sister) some chrysanthemum plants I had for her. I got dinner with them. Papa was there plowing so he ate there too. I went by Mama’s on my way home she gave me a quart of milk and a piece of butter.

We had a fair attendance at Sunday School this morning. I asked as many as would to give a hymnal to the church in memory of their Mother id dead an honor if alive. These hymnals are to be presented on Mother’s Day and dedicated to the Mothers of our Church. Forty-five were contributed. These together with what we have already should, I think, be sufficient. I went to Mama's to dinner and Leone and Carole Anne went with Mr. Edwin and Miss Sarah to Middlesex to Dr. Fleet.
Tonight Herbert Taylor, Mrs. Taylor and I went to Church in Urbanna. I preached there for the pastor Mr. Cowan.
